I am horticulturist, I have been working for the Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden as curator and leader of large development projects as well as simultaneously I am the Secretary General of Association of Hungarian Arboreta and Botanic Gardens.
Vince, please share your overall impressions about the programme!
By PiP I could become a member of an innovative, quite diverse community. They are well qualified and opened minded people with different approaches depending on their knowledge and experience on different fields. Most of us have been creative and motivated, and this attitude has been inspiring for me and shake all of us up, I think.
You are a family man, how were you able to manage the long time you spent abroad during the programme?
I have a big family with 6 children from 5 to 20 ages; therefore a long placement period abroad was difficult, mainly for my wife and for our young daughters (5 and 8). But I walked with opened eyes and gathered in a foreign culture as much impressions and stories as possible. Since I returned home from Birmingham from time to time I intend to share my thoughts and the information with my children. I think, by this way I can form their attitude, which is a positive, indirect impact of PiP.
